Andy the dj and owner of nightsounds discos has been supplying wedding discos at some of the south’s top venues for the past 25yrs and has sound experience with wedding entertainment .
Nightsounds discos guarantee's to make your evening one to remember and one your friends will talk about afterwards. We never forget that this is your special day and all decisions regarding the disco will be yours / made in consultation with you. We like to meet clients face to face before the function particularly when it is a wedding / civil partnership, we find that by doing this the evening will run much smoother. Therefore we will try to arrange a mutually suitable time / location to do this. If this is not possible then contact can be made by Email / Telephone.
All music played will be after consultation with yourselves (any favorite songs you want and any you would rather not hear) and most importantly what you want for your first dance / any subsequent dances.
We realize that weddings / civil partnerships are also social events where people like to catch up with old friends / make new friends. This is not possible if the music is so loud that everyone has to shout. Therefore we will keep the music low enough that people can carry on a conversation but loud enough to be able to dance to.
We have Public Liability Insurance so in the unlikely event of an accident both you and your guests are covered. All equipment is also Portable Appliance Tested (PAT) this ensures that all electrical equipment used is safe. Some venues insist on one or both of these before they will allow access.
We will liaise where necessary with other professionals you have covering your event, such as Photographer, Video Services, and Hotel Staff to ensure that everything goes according to plan.
If you decide to book nightsounds discos you will only deal with me throughout the period leading up to your big day, and during your function. I am not an agency and no one else will turn up to provide the disco for you.
Here are some frequently asked questions
The typical booking period is 6 months to 1 year; although, we have been known to fulfill needs on extremely short notice. the best advice we can give is to book your entertainment as soon as you have made the decision.
How much time will you need to setup
An average of ninety minutes should be allowed for setup and sound check (there is no additional charge for this) We prefer to arrive early so music can begin seamlessly, as soon as your meal and speeches finish.
Will you allow requests
Requests are always welcomed. if a song seems inappropriate, a good dj will explain the reason and ask for an alternative selection. NOTE: we will arrange a meeting with you prior to the wedding to talk over all of the details. this allows you the benefit of custom-tailoring the entire reception to meet the expectations of your dream wedding.
Are there any hidden fees or cost
All costs and fees are discussed with you and are included in the contract. if you want the music to run on after the agreed time, this can be arranged with the dj and the venue and will be charged on the half-hour .
Do you use professional equipment
